Voodoo dolls have always appeared as mysterious icons, evoking feelings of intrigue, fear, curiosity, and worship. Like their predecessors Minkisi, Bocio and Paket Kongo (note, see the history of voodoo dolls in Chapters 1 and 2), voodoo dolls can be used to channel energy in a variety of ways, from paying homage to ancestors, to being used as offerings, to being the object of focused magical power. Voodoo dolls are great for casting spells, especially when it comes to attracting love, improving finances, and defeating enemies.

Make your own voodoo doll (note: see the previous article on how to make your own voodoo doll) and use some of the following spells and rituals to work your magic.

BANISH, BIND, AND ENEMY BE GONE

Banish, Bind, and Enemy Be Gone

The following spells are used to get rid of an enemy or opponent, to make someone stop bothering you or to make someone harmless. For these types of situations, you can turn to the voodoo spirits Ogun or Chango, or for female victims of domestic violence, to the voodoo spirit Erzulie Dantor.

These types of spells and rituals are best performed under the Wanning Moon.

Spell to Bind Someone Dangerous

This spell is best performed on a Saturday (also known as the Day of Saturn, to bind a criminal, someone who intends to harm others, or to bring someone to justice). For this spell, you need to prepare the following materials:

A voodoo doll used to represent that person

A black candle

Myrrh incense (myrrh incense)

A red ribbon

A personal item from that person (i.e. body parts, personal items, etc.). (This is not required, but will help with your spell)

1. Light the black candle and light the myrrh incense. Sprinkle some salt water on the voodoo doll and recite the following incantation:

Blessed be, thou creature made of art.

By art made, by art changed.

Thou art not cloth (or wax, whatever it is made out of)

But flesh and blood.

I name thee ___________ (name the personbeing bound).

Thou art s/he.

between the worlds, in all the worlds, So be it.

(Incantation general: Bless you the creature of magical craft.

Created by the art of magic, changed by the art of magic.

You are not cloth (or wax, name the raw material of the voodoo doll here)

Rather, you are flesh and blood.

I call you _________ (the name of the enchanted).

You are he/she in between this world and in all worlds. Make it so.)

2. Hold the voodoo doll and imagine that it is caught in a silvery net that is wrapped around the cursed one. At the same time, tie your voodoo doll securely with a red ribbon, tying up all the parts of the person that will be harmed. Power up the voodoo doll by saying the following incantation:

By air and earth.

By water and fire.

So be you bound.

No longer harm me.

Your power gone.

As I desire

(The mantra is to the effect that

By the power of air and earth;

By the power of water and fire;

That you may be bound up;

That you can no longer harm me;

As I wish, your power is gone)

Then, at the full moon, bury your voodoo doll under a heavy stone far from your home, and the binding spell is complete.

Banishment and Equalizer Spell

Banishment and Equalizer Spell

This spell asks the Supreme Being to act as a mediator between you and your enemies by protecting you and punishing those who harm you.

This spell can be used as a means of revenge against your enemies, causing them to be ostracized, cause mental anguish, and eventually disappear from this world. Since you are asking the Supreme Being to intervene on your behalf, you will not be affected by any bad influence or bad karma.

Write the name of the target (the cursed person) on the parchment and sanctify it with a dot of Black Arts oil. Insert this parchment into the voodoo doll

Recite Psalm 55 9 times over the doll and insert a needle through the parchment into the doll. Wrap the doll in a black cloth and hide it in a dark place, being careful to choose a place where no one can find it.

For the next eight days (the whole spell lasts nine days in total), you will take out the voodoo doll and recite the chant 55 nine times on it, then insert a needle through the parchment into the doll, wrap the doll in a black cloth and hide it in a dark place; while performing this spell, you will keep away from all those who are spying on you.

On the ninth day, remove the doll wrapped in black cloth and bury it near the cemetery. Or, you can burn the doll and throw its ashes into the cemetery. Or, you can keep the voodoo doll, remove the parchment and nine needles from the doll, and bury the parchment and nine needles in or near the cemetery, or burn it in/near the cemetery and throw the ashes away.

If you are keeping the doll for future use, the voodoo doll can only be used for that one person and must be wrapped and kept out of sight. Do not remove the voodoo doll unless you wish to communicate with your enemy through it.

Have mercy on me, O God, for man hath trodden me under foot; all the day long he hath afflicted me fighting against me.

My enemies have trodden on me all the day long; for they are many that make war against me.

In God will I praise the word, in the Lord will I praise his speech.
